Default How long will you chase your tail?

Its pretty clear that anet is buying time for GW2. The delay to
updates and the small size. Taking months to give us
the smallest of improvements that we want.

Players waiting for the odd crumb anet throws us.

These updates could all be stacked together and done
very fast but then we would have nothing to cling to
and we would move on.

So anet has us chasing our tails and we can't see right
In front of us. How well is it working on you?

What do you mean buying time for GW2? They don't need to keep people playing until GW2 is released, they have your money. Why would Anet dedicate the man power to push out lots of updates very fast when there is no revenue to be made in doing so.
They have a limited team working on GW so updates are less regular and contain less updates than they used to, nothing to do with making you chase your tail.

If you are no longer having fun playing this game then don't, if you are just waiting around for updates to keep you interested then move on to something else for a while and come back to GW later.

Agreed. Last time I checked I believe that team was...1?

Coder's Note:

It is better to update one line at a time than to update the entire code at once. It takes longer, and makes more end-users groan, but you are far less likely to experience problems, and when problems do arise they are much easier to isolate and fix.

Stalling or not, it's not good practice to overhaul an entire game in one shot.

Most people have no clue whatsoever about the time and effort it takes to script, program, code or what have you all these updates, run them through tests to make sure there are no bugs with the new coding so players can't whine and bitch like mad more than they already do. Also above all, release them in the time they were said to be released. It's not a bunch of idiots sitting behind ArenaNet desks in front of computers thinking what's the best way to grief our customers/players, it's a ton of hard work i'm sure. Let the programmers do their thing, and have fun playing the game. Let them take their sweet ass time, if whoever feels something needs a bit of extra time i'm sure it's for the best, and because of this we will probably have a better quality game in the long run.

Also i expect a lot of people to go on about that last sentence and hop on the "blame izzy" bus.

Meh... I still enjoy the game. If i didnt I wouldnt play. If youre just waiting for gw2 go play something else in the meantime. If you dont like gw because they stuffed it up and think they are gonna do the same for gw2 why are you even still playing?

Basically another QQ thread that gw2 is taking too long and anet sucks... +1

I am very glad you don't have Izzy's job. Although I wouldn't say he is the best at it, he at least understands what balance is. His failures are not in knowing what balance is, it is in making it happen. You don't seem to grasp what balance is. If you did, you'd realize that your idea of making all updates happen at once would fail miserably.

- If you're bored, go play something else
- If updates are the only thing you are looking for in this game, go play something else
- If it's GW2 you're after, go play something else till GW2 comes out

Pretty pointless thread...

Also, "chasing your tail"? That doesn't really even fit the situation.

What did you expect to gain from this?

If you don't like it then leave, I doubt anyone can honestly say they care

im liking this, expected a bitch topic about Anet sucks cuz they promised ectohzzzz....or some random BS. Theyre doin the best they can.
Last time i checked:
A) I dont have a tail, metaphoric or not
B) There are those of us who are infact playing this as a GAME for FUN and not as something to waste time time for GW2.

We have posts on the update thread all ready. And I'm not sure this thread is actually contributing to any discussion.
